Our Full Review
The Hyperkin Polygon VR Protector Bag attempts to deliver protection and storage, which every HTC Vive demo provider loves. The bag boasts an included 4ft. long adjustable shoulder strap that helps the user carry additional accessories, such as your tripods, along with you in the same trip, and is made of a very thick padding that definitely gives you confidence that your hardware is safe. However, there are a few concerns.
The Hyperkin Polygon VR Protector Bag does not allow the user to fit the HTC Vive if it has the Deluxe Audio Strap attached, and may not fit all of the power adaptor and additional cords. As you can see here, the Deluxe Audio Strap (review) is a near essential accessory upgrade for the HTC Vive, and the lack of compatibility with it is concerning. The price of the bag for the limited storage provided seems to be quite steep, but at least you would be confident dropping the whole kit from 5 feet without much worry.
The Hyperkin Polygon VR Protector Bag will protect your essential hardware just fine from small falls or impacts. However it lacks the space needed to fit the most essential of accessories and even required power cords, unless you really cram them in there. At that point, isn’t it just an expensive glorified box?
