Unparalleled Performance

The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is a monster of a graphics card. This thing is so responsive, so powerful, so unbelievably absurd in its performance that you can’t help but laugh with glee as you slot it into your motherboard. The GTX 1080 Ti is such a stunning achievement, that it is hard to think that it is anything but future proof.

Despite its serious processing power, the GTX 1080 Ti is a marvel of design and aesthetics. It remains at cool temperatures through long gameplay sessions, it is surprisingly quiet despite its monster cooling fans. The new Pascal architecture is nothing short of miraculous, squeezing more Teraflops out of silicone wafers than any competitor.

This is a PC Gaming enthusiasts dream come true and it shows in the build quality, the performance and unfortunately, the cost.

GTX 1080 TI – Titan Killer

The GTX Titan was considered to be the end of Graphics Card competition as it boasted nearly 5x the performance of any card on the market. When released, it also came with a price tag so far out of reach for nearly everyone but the most hardcore performance chasers that was a losing proposition for NVidia.

Less than a year later, NVidia announced the release of the GTX 10XX series, cards based on their top secret Pascal Architecture that when shown were nothing short of mind-blowing.  In particular, the GTX 1080 TI was able to outperform their previous Titan card, at less than half the cost.

Budget-Friendly For Enthusiasts

Very few gamers were willing to spend the kind of cash needed to snag a Titan, but as soon as the GTX 1080 TI was released for pre-sale, it had completely sold out in minutes. This was the card gamers had been waiting for and they responded with overwhelming support for this breakthrough GPU.

Dollar for dollar, this is the GPU you should buy if at all possible. The GTX 1080 TI will be a leading GPU for years, if not a decade.

GTX 1080 Ti Pro’s and Con’s

Pros

Performance by the truckload

No matter what you play, it will be a feast for the eyes as the GTX 1080 Ti tears through any game in your library on Ultra without dropping a frame.

Stable and Reliable

Even when playing on our HTC VIVE  (review) for hours at a time, the GTX 1080 Ti never hit peak temperatures thanks to the innovative vapor chamber cooling system

Future proof

So often is the term “Future-Proof” thrown around that it makes us wonder if it means what we think it means, but in this case, we really do believe it. This card will play the most graphically intense games for a LONG time to come.

Cons

Expensive

This is not a starter card, this is for gaming enthusiasts with money to spend. But it is worth EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY.

Power suck

While the performance you get per watt is incredible, the GTX 1080 Ti is a power gulping monster. We recommend AT LEAST an 800w Power supply like the Corsair RMx Series 850X.

Sheer size

When you first hold the GTX 1080 Ti you will be blown away by how large it is. This is NOT a card that will fit in a small enclosure. Even coming from a GTX 980 Ti, you may find yourself needing to upgrade your case if you are not running a full ATX case.
